Rocky Horror

I saw Rocky Horror last Friday night and it absolutely blew my mind. RHPS is my favorite musical of all time, and I have never seen it live before and the kids at Do It with Class Young People's Theatre Inc. did such a good performance it blew my fragile little mind. I say kids because the entire thing was done by actors who are in grades 10, 11, and 12. Janet and Frank 'N' Furter were played by 16 year olds and they went all out with it, with the leather and the dancing...

The entire cast was so perfectly focused in everything. I have to give them props, not because they were able to strip, dance, and gyrate with such focus, but the fact that they were able to do it in front of their parents made it a feat to see. They production didn't perform one song Planet Schmanet, Janet, and I can understand why, the entire song basically revolves around Frank 'N' Furter chasing and molesting Janet around the stage. You know, good times had by all. But I can see why they thought it would be going to far, even for them. But I must say watching the show you could tell the entire cast was having a blast. And it boggles my mind even today how young they are and how much they have done. It make me feel lazy... At the end of the night they performed one last Time Warp and they invited members from the audience up on stage to dance with them. That was truly awesome on their part and you'd better believe I jumped up their and gave it all the pelvic thrusting power I had. All and all a truly awesome night, the cast was awsome, the mood was good, and giving yourself over to pleasure never felt so good.

Riff Raff: "Say goodbye to all of this, and hello to oblivion." (Points laser at Frank 'N' Furter)
Columbia: (As she throws herself in front of the laser to protect Frank 'N' Furter) "NOOOOO!!"
(Riff Raff fires killing Columbia)
Frank 'N' Furter: "Why, why did she do it?"
Dr. Scott: "She wanted to save you, she still loved you..."
Frank 'N' Furter: "Dumb bitch."

Inside Joke: "what do you call it? THE ARISTOCRATS!"
