Reading In Bed With Knives
I can finally call it quits in my quest to find some good literature to read as I have gathered together a collection of books that I'm very excited to start reading. On the roster is the first book in the A Series of Unfortunate Events series by Lemony Snicket, the entire Cronicles of Narnia collection, and a fictional biography of the adventures of young Captain Hook. I've also uncovered and undustified my old paperback collection of various short stories and poems. I am so pumped, I want to start reading them all so bad, its rotten luck that now is the time when I have to focus on studying for midterms. As my good friend says, "alas"...
Knives Don't Have Your Back has been taking over my auditory senses for the past number of days. I haven't been listening to much else and when I do it's not long before I find myself trailing back to hear the sound of sweet, sweet Emily Haines. It doesn't surpise me though, I've always had a weakness for a good piano melody; hell, I've always had a weakness for Emily Haines, and Knives is filled to the brink with both of them. I'll definitely be picking up the album sometime in the future, that and Gang of Losers by The Dears should make for a nice pair of Christmas gifts I think...

One more bite for the Pullman!
"Oh, I have made three," answered God,
"But two of them are dead,
And the third --
Listen! Listen!
And you will hear the thud of his defeat."

Happy October
I don't believe I've ever in my life noticed the Autumn season like I do right now. All the trees look beautiful. I love fall, I love that cold brisk wind, I love sitting on a small hill and watching the leaves fall from the trees, and I think all those snazzy fall jackets are cool.
What’s on the agenda for October? A lot. I can say that much. Septembers been nothing but days upon days of labor pains. I hope the kid just pops out soon... but he always was notoriously late. My bet is that he will be a clown and will have many friends along with him, and they will all be born together and it will go down as the silliest and messiest birth of all time.
Or even better, he could be a turkey. I've always wanted a pet turkey...actually no, I've never wanted a pet turkey. I wonder were turkeys go to get their life insurance? Hm, note to self: look into selling life insurance to turkeys as backup career plan.
I wish I had a fire place. I've already got the fire, just no place to put it and frankly it's being temperamental about the whole situation. It knows I live on a low income and it also knows I'm doing my best to find it a place. It's not like I want it to rome around like it does now, all placeless and crying... you'll put yourself out if you keep that up, then what will you be! Nothing, thats what you'll be; ironically though, I don't have anywhere to put nothing either.
Happy October
